The Women's Health Unit is a 24 bed unit designed to care for patients with disabilities and/or chronic illness. It is located in Building 2, Level 3. The Nursing Staff assist patients and families to attain and maintain abilities. Within the interdisciplinary team perspective, nurses facilitate adaptation to lifestyle alterations while providing a therapeutic environment for patients and their families. Nurses provide professional services based on scientific nursing theory in areas such as self care that promote physical and psychological health. Nurses, utilizing the nursing process, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for particular patient populations.
