B6L2 is a 26-bed unit allocated for rehabilitation stroke management. Nurses, working in the Stroke Unit, strive to help patients to help themselves, by collaborative and participative interdisciplinary patient care. The nursing team is a critical part of the interdisciplinary team.
The nursing service personnel participate in numerous professional activities such as interdisciplinary nursing assessments, inpatient nursing care, team conferences and family conferences. Patient and family teaching and coaching are paramount to optimize independence. The Stroke Unit is comprised of full time Registered Nurses, Nursing Aides and Ward/Unit Clerks |
