DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION & STAFFDEVELPOMENT 

The Department of Education & Staff Development provides educational activities for employees of the Humanitarian City, and for patients, their families, and their home communities.We also assume responsibility for the Audio/Visual Section and Health Science Library.

With services offered by a growing team of staff development coordinators, education specialists, and support personnel, the Department operates within the authority of the Executive Director of Administrative Affairs, and provides ample space for hosting its activities and housing its resources. Management in all departments arranges work schedules with adequate time for employees to attend any required training or education programs. In addition, we encourage employee participation in advanced, offsite education and training, seminars and conferences, and research. The Department will fund individuals according to established policy and procedure.

A center nationally recognized for its leadership in providing education and assistance to rehabilitation professionals, patients and their families, and the community. 

DIVISIONS & PROGRAMS

 

  • The  Office of the Director  develops policy and procedure in line with the mission and vision of both the City and the department, and oversees the standardization and implementation of all educational programs.

 

       

           

          • The  Health Promotion/Education Unit  seeks to improve quality of life for the City’s patients and their families, and to educate the community at large, by increasing their awareness of rehabilitation concepts and procedures.

           

               

              • The Staff Development Division  focuses on maintaining high standards of care, and on employee empowerment and retention, through continuous staff education in languages and communication, computer skills, and professional standards of rehabilitation and nursing.

               

              • The Saudization Program  provides scholarships and internships to qualifying Saudi nationals to increase the number of Saudi employees.

                         

              • Educational Resources offers support to all staff with instant access to excellent audio/visual equipment, and through the Health Sciences Library, to the most recent research, both digital and print, in rehabilitation and medical disciplines.
